nov 4; bouquinistes and eiffel

By lesypr

if you are at all interested in literature, philosophy, or cinema the contents of these green iron boxes will make you salivate, come, then pass out in ecstasy.

on the metro

my original plan was to go to the champs elysees and the triangle of gold after balzac and the wine museum, but it was getting dark and i was in no mood for shopping. so i decided to see the eiffel tower, since it was in the neighborhood. [i hadn't planned to get especially close]

it is really very immense compared to the structures around it…

on the way, i went over a bridge and through park where there were lots of joggers and couples and families and people looking at the water.

then suddenly, it started to sparkle!

then my camera’s battery went out…
at the bottom there is a carousel, and lots of waffle/crepe vendors. underneath, it is square and blue and people lay on the ground to take pictures. young men walk around selling little fluorescent replicas. i walked back across the river near an aquarium, where there were more food and souvenir stands and boys skateboarding down stairs.
