a trail of rainbow carnage

By lesypr

monsieur rivette has drunkenly agreed to accompany me to this post made in haste; its 2 in the morning and i leave for the airport in 7 hours, but i need to get these materials uploaded from my computer somehow, so of course they will go here. i will have innumerable hours in jfk to utilize the delectable crutch and confidante the i-pod touch [for all intensive purposed herein called annalisa], but not enough time to transcribe all this information in full. i must admit to lazing out as soon as the i-pod came into my presence–the idea of internet maps in my hand made the necessity of detailed address research seem unnecessary. tomorrow, however, i have to book a hostel in brussels, must upload copies of my passport, et al, and generally read through the Belgium & Netherlands chapters of the shoestring guide. also; become more oriented with the withnail sightseeing places and confirm all my uk bookings. this is my last pre-trip planning entry.. from now on they’ll all be en route… so, until then rivette thanks you;

incomplete guides for all locations in France, Germany, Sweden, and kinda the UK, as well as kinda Copenhagen and kinda Oslo, and is probably only legible to me.. my apologies!

Some bookings still required, as well as research into Universities, Cemeteries, and Libraries. The following comes primarily from Wikitravel & Lonely Planet;

Währing has two cemeteries of note. The cemetery, Währing Cemetery; now known as Schubert Park; is the site of the original burial places of composers Ludwig van Beethoven [1] and Franz Schubert. The graves of both composers were moved to the Zentralfriedhof in Vienna in 1888, but there remains a bust of Schubert in memory of his original resting place. This bust was made by sculptor Josef A. Dialer. The epitaph written by Franz Grillparzer reads in German: Die Tonkunst begrub hier einen reichen Besitz aber noch viel schönere Hoffnungen. (The art of music buried here a rich possession and yet much finer hopes.) [2]
